CT Folk Fest & Green Expo marks its 31st year with an exciting blend of top-tier folk music, local artisan vendors, and the flagship Green Expo. The event takes place on Saturday, September 7th, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Edgerton Park.
Hosted by CT Folk, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, this year’s festival features an exceptional lineup. Headliners Leyla McCalla will be joined by Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams. The diverse musical offerings include Kaleta & Super Yamba Band, Ali McGuirk, Santos De Palo, Crys Matthews, and Inner Groove, ensuring something for everyone.
The Green Expo, running from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., will showcase over 50 handmade artisans, exhibitors, and local nonprofits. Families can enjoy the Green Kids Village, which features all-day workshops, live music with Liz McNicholl, magic shows by Cyril the Sorcerer, hands-on drumming with Infinite Roots Drumming, interactive projects with EcoWorks and the Eli Whitney Museum, and more.
Food enthusiasts can savor offerings from New Haven’s best food trucks, including P&M Fine Foods, Ben & Jerry’s, Mamoun’s Falafel, Lalibela Ethiopian and more. Craft brews from New Belgium Brewing and LoveLou Wines will also be available.
CT Folk Fest & Green Expo has grown into one of Connecticut’s premier folk festivals and Green Expos , championing diversity and community. The event celebrates a shared passion for the arts, supporting local artisans, and investing in a sustainable future.
“This year’s diverse lineup reflects the rich cultural tapestry of New Haven and Connecticut,” shares AG Barry, President of the CT Folk Board of Directors. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to Edgerton Park for a day of music, sustainability, and community.”
A $25 suggested donation per person supports CT Folk’s mission to engage, entertain, and inspire through diverse folk music, while helping to foster a more socially just and environmentally sustainable community.
Parking is available on Whitney Avenue and all surrounding streets around Edgerton Park. Accessible parking and bike racks will be available on Cliff St.
