How it works

During the course of the event, each business will post a Summer Hunters question to their Instagram account. At the entrance of each participating business, players will find a special Summer Hunter’s QR code. After scanning the code, the player will enter the answer to that business’s question as the password to the webpage they are brought to. By doing this, the player will be granted +5 digital raffle entries.

At the end of the event, the raffle draws will occur. Prize levels can be found at: In addition to the five grand prize packages, many businesses are offering unique, smaller, prizes for each player to discover along their journey.

About Pine & Iron Axe Throwing

Pine & Iron Axe Throwing introduced urban axe throwing to Connecticut in June 2018 by opening their Hartford location in the Parkville community. The awareness of axe throwing and its popularity has grown steadily in Connecticut since that time. In January 2020, Pine & Iron opened its second location at 770 Chapel Street in New Haven.

On June 19th, Pine & Iron reopened its doors to the public after a 3-month closure due to the COVID-19 crisis. Pine & Iron has implemented a variety of safety measures, which are described in detail at:

At Pine & Iron, individuals and groups socialize and are taught how to play standard, scored axe throwing games and engage in friendly competition with others. Throwers enjoy tips and guidance from the Pine & Iron coaching staff who are close by at all times.
