Hamden Symphony Bonus Concert - "Grooves and Moves"

Ever wanted to dance the night away to an 80 piece Orchestra? On Friday, February 7th at 7:30 PM, the all-volunteer Hamden Symphony Orchestra will continue their 63rd season with “Grooves and Moves” at Hamden Memorial Town Hall. From the disco to the bossa-nova, get ready to dance along (if you’d like) to selections by Barry White, Abba and even the great Ludwig Von Beethoven. A few high-energy motion-picture classics set under the big top, in the 1960’s, and on the high seas will provide a thrilling reprieve for your feet.

Special guests will include student vocalists from Hamden’s Sacred Heart Academy, and dancers from the Yale University Swing Blues & Fusion, who will salute the Big Band era!

No tickets are required in advance. A $10 Suggested Donation will be accepted at the door. Additional support is provided by the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts, which also receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
