The Square is bordered by Wooster Place, Chapel, Academy, and Greene Streets.

Wooster Square, named after Revolutionary War hero General David Wooster, was established in the early 19th century. It is known for its historic row houses and brownstones, featuring architectural styles ranging from Federal to Victorian. Wooster Square Park is surrounded by a border of Yoshino cherry trees, which are celebrated every spring. This area is renowned for its deep Italian roots.  Wooster Street is world-famous for Italian restaurants and bakeries.
