Lobster Roll Festival

Milford, CT – September 20, 2026 — The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, alongside naming sponsor Xfinity, invites residents and visitors to Walnut Beach for the annual Milford Lobster Roll Festival, a waterfront event honoring one of the city’s most famous contributions to New England cuisine. With support from Mazda of Milford, the festival continues to grow as a signature end-of-summer experience for the Milford region.

The event pays tribute to Milford’s role in culinary history, tracing back to the 1920s when the hot buttered lobster roll was first served at Perry’s Restaurant. Nearly a century later, that simple creation has become a coastal classic, and the festival brings its story full circle with food, music, and family-friendly entertainment by the shore.

“Milford has such a unique food story, and this festival gives us a chance to share it in a fun, welcoming way,” said Simon McDonald, Director of Marketing for the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Each year, we see more people discovering not just the lobster roll, but everything our community has to offer.”
