Lunarfest 2026: Year of the Fire Horse

Lunarfest is Connecticut’s largest annual Lunar New Year celebration. Organized by the Yale-China Association in collaboration with Yale University and local New Haven partners, this vibrant day features a spectacular NYC lion dance troupe, immersive cultural performances and hands-on workshops led by local artists. DowntownNHV is excited to partner with the Neighborhood Music School & Yale China for the third annual Dragon Market!

Visit the Audubon Arts Neighborhood to celebrate Lunarfest with a street parade featuring lion dances & other performances at 9:30AM, family-friendly crafts & activities at different locations throughout the day at downtown locations, local neighborhood eatery & shop specials, and of course – The Dragon Market!

At the Market, shop from New Haven-based AAPI vendors, visit the DowntownNHV host table for complimentary NHV swag items, and take a seat at the craft table to try your hand at making your own origami horse.
