The Town of Orange will host ts annual Holiday Festival with the Lighted Tractor Parade and Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 3.

Festivities will be on and around the Town Green beginning at 3 p.m.

There will be an ice carving demonstration in front of the Clark Building. Inside the Clark Building visitors can guess how many candies are in the jar and vote on gingerbread houses.

Gingerbread house creations may be dropped off between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Prizes will be given to the winner of the gingerbread house contest; all entries must be picked up between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Children can mail letters to Santa at the library. The Case Memorial Library will be open from 3 – 5 p.m. There will be singers from Amity High School starting at 3:00 p.m. and Al DeCant will be performing in the meeting room from 3:30 to 4:15. The library staff will be handing out Take and Make crafts while supplies last.

The Stone-Otis House will be open to visitors beginning at 2 p.m. as well as the Academy Building, where the New Haven to Derby Line Model Railroad will have displays.

The Orange Congregational Church will be hosting a “Cookie Walk” where Christmas cookies will be available for sale in the lower level of the church before the Handbell Concert and Carol Sing that will be held from 4 to 5 p.m.

The Lighted Tractor Parade will begin around 4:30 – 4:45 p.m. from Fred Wolfe Park and Santa will arrive at the end of the parade.

The lighting of the tree will follow on the Town Green and there will be time for pictures with Santa.
